THIS EVENT WAS CANCELLED DUE TO LOW REGISTRATION.

6:00 PM

This will be our final event for the school year. We will honor our award winners, hold elections for the 2010-11 year, enjoy a delicious dinner and great company.
COLT members pay just $20 for a complete dinner with a drink, non members and guests are $25.
Payment can be made by credit card on line or by check, but checks must be post-marked by May 8th.

Description:  Yet another star studded event was kicked off with a keynote by NYSAFLT Webmaster, 21st Century Principal and Innovative Educator, Ken Hughes.  Workshop topics will include Global Communication, High Tech Classrooms and skills to educate the 21st Century Learner.

COLT Mid-Winter Blues Meeting

COLT Members gathered at Mohonasen

Draper Middle School on January 27, 2010 to beat the

Winter blues with some networking, advocacy and

professional development. After a brief COLT

business meeting, a number of Capital Region

teachers presented mini-lessons on activities

they do in their classrooms. A special thanks goes

to Jill Dugan, Patrick Keegan, Donna Keegan, Nancy

Ladd Butz and Maureen Geagan for presenting.

 

COLT Fall Meeting

Friday, October 23, 2009, 4pm-6pm

Bethlehem Central High School

COLT held this meeting meet the needs of our members. We formed  committees to work on the Regional Conference and the new awards committee.

Light refreshments were served and there was time to meet and network with Capital Region LOTE teachers.

Diana Zuckerman (Rondout Valley) wins "Magdalena Slone" for a day!

On On May 21st, 2009, Magdalena Slone visited the seventh and fourth grade classes of Diana Zuckerman in Rondout Valley Central School District. Magdalena is a retired Spanish teacher from Mexico as well as a member of the Capital Organization of Language Teachers, COLT, and NYSAFLT.  Diana won a day in the classroom with Magdalena in a raffle at the COLT conference in March 2009.
